      报告一题目:Selenium regulation of selenoenzymes, transcripts, and selenometabolites by deficiency and high Se in animals

      报告人简介:Roger A. Sunde was trained at the University of Wisconsin in the Department of Biochemistry (B.S. 1972, Ph.D. 1980), was a postdoc at Wisconsin (80-81), and had an NIH fellowship in Aberdeen, Scotland (81-83). He was on the faculty at the University of Arizona (Biochemistry and Nutrition, 83-89) and at the University of Missouri (Nutritional Sciences and Biochemistry, 90-03). At Missouri as F21C Cluster Leader and Department Chair, where they had an aggressive program focused on the molecular biology of mineral homeostasis, with four faculty on one floor studying selenium, zinc, copper and iron and using multiple phylogenetic models including rodents, yeast, cultured mammalian cell lines and Arabidopsis. Dr. Sunde moved in January, 2004, to the University of Wisconsin to become chair of Nutritional Sciences and finished his term as chair in 2008. As well, he has served as Chair of the NIH Nutrition Study Section and Panel Manager of the USDA NRI Nutrition Panel, and was a member of the FASEB Board and the FASEB Science Policy Committee. Most importantly, he has had an NIH-funded research program focused on selenoprotein expression and Se regulation of mRNA stability. Dr. Sunde continues to do research on the biochemistry, molecular biology, and nutrition of selenium, with current studies using RNA-Seq to identify Se-induced transcript changes, and using LC-tandem MS to identify low molecular-weight Se compounds that accumulate with high Se status in animals.

      报告人简介:Zhongtang Yu,博士,现在是美国俄亥俄州立大学食品、农业和环境澳门新葡亰网址p815学院教授。于美国新墨西哥州立大学获博士学位。研究方向包括:动物消化道及环境微生物生态学研究;生物废弃物转化为沼气的微生物学厌氧消化基础;畜牧抗生素耐药性生态学研究。在Journal of Experimental Medicine、Biotechnology advances和Environmental Microbiology等刊物发表文章130余篇,所发文章被引用超过5600次。兼任Frontiers in Microbiology、Journal of Dairy Science和Metagenomics等杂志编辑,Advances in Microbiology、Beneficial Microbes和 Journal of Environmental Science等杂志编委。

      报告人简介:雷新根,博士,现任美国康奈尔大学分子营养学教授,www.997755.com部长江学者讲座教授,国家“人才项目专家”教授,美国营养学报(Journal of Nutrition)副主编,第14届国际人类和动物微量元素大会主席,北美中国营养学会创会会长。兼任中国生物强化副主任,获国家自然澳门新葡亰网址p815基金委员会海外青年(杰出)学者合作研究基金奖,在硒的生物医学营养学、植酸酶和生物强化研究方面取得了杰出成绩。
